Application

Screw conveyor is a conveying machine that utilizes rotating blades to transport materials. It is mainly used for conveying powder and granular materials such as cement, fly ash, mineral powder, etc. It is not suitable for conveying viscous, easy to agglomerate and fibrous materials.

Principle

The screw conveyor works by rotating a screw blade to push material through a screw conveyor. When the screw shaft rotates, due to the gravity of the material and the friction generated between the material and the tank wall, the material can only move forward along the bottom of the conveyor tank under the push of the blade, as if the non-rotating nut moves in a translational motion along a rotating screw. The main forward force on the material is the force from the screw blade in the axial rotation, which moves the material up and forward along the tangential direction of the blade.
